Chicago Logistic Service understands the benefits of Recycling
Not only is reycling beneficial to the environment, but we also believe that it turns materials that would otherwise become waste into valuable resources. For this reason, we have partnered with The Environmental Defenders of Mchenry County and serve as their warehouse base of operations.
We donate over $1,000 in labor and trucking services monthly towards recycling.
Items without fee:
24-hour drop off inside of front vestibule
Packing Peanuts - must be contained in it's own bag or box
Bubble wrap and Foam Sheets - large quantities only
55 gallon metal or plastic drums - all chemical residue must be removed
Compact Discs & DVDs - and their cases
Cassette Tape Cases - the actual cassettes need to be disposed of as we can no longer accept
Styrofoam (#6 if it snaps we'll take it, if not then no) - must be clean and empty - all colors accepted
Clothing and Textiles - US Again collection bin located outside building next to loading docks
*Illegal dumping is prohibitted and will be procecuted
Items with a fee:
Requires an appointment
Lightbulbs - CFL, Flourescent Tubes, and LED - $.50 per bulb (no need to bring incandecent, regular recycle)
Batteries - $1 per pound (exceptions are car, sump pump no charge)
We can no longer take VHS tapes or cases but we will take the cardboard boxes that they come in.
We can assist in the recycling of any electronic equipment and devices.
Electronic recycling must be done between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday Saturday by appointment only.
TVs and Monitors - requires a pass through fee of $1 per pound
